I know I am not one of the fastest in our high-speed-cyber-comuunication-age,
but now it is high time to give you some news
(and not only the one about the cats growing up):

• I was made Riksspelman in June 2009 and that made me very proud. Nice!
  (Riksspeleman is a title awarded to a few musicians each year. You have to perform well and be a good representative for your tradition to earn it. )
• I also have got a new musical partner, something I am happy about and grateful for: Jonas Åkerlund...
• With another Dalsland musician, fiddler Tomas Fredriksson, I have formed a duo Faust & Fredriksson...
• I have also made progress in the workshop.
  I have some new flutes and whistles ready for sale and on the way and I would say they are better than ever...
• New sheet music: My old mentor Einar Hansander has begun to share his extensive collection of musiv.
  De first two books of Dalsland Folk Music are now for sale, with 50 respecvtively 40 tunes in them.
  Some of these lovely tunes have already been recorded on my CDs (on "Naken" for instance) and on the forthcoming recording session with Dalslands Spelmansförbund we will make further use of the books.

And before I finish

The Northern Uilllean Pipes constructed by me have become very popular.
I am happy to announce that from this year you are allowed to perform for being appointed Riksspelman using bellowblown Swedish bagpipes.
